The nexstar is my first telescope given to me by my parents in Christmas 2014. It was crucial to take the first steps in the observation of the sky and also my ally for the preparation for the observational test of the international astronomy Olympiad of 2015
This is my current telescope. I am truly fond of if. I think it is the right compromise between diameter and transportability. Furthermore, cause it's the EDGE HD of the very common 8-inch Schmidt-Sassegrain, it helps me considerably in using it as a telescope for astrophotography.
Light and portable tripod for cameras, but still stable. The sphere head suffers with the telephoto lens, but with a little patience I can use it in any situation
Entry-level reflex with APS-C sensor. It's my first reflex I owe well before my telescope. It was the sensor I've used more so far and despite its level it is able to provide truly surprising results. Just write 'D3200' in the search bar and scroll through the results to convince yourself.
Nikon D750
I literally fell in love with this Reflex. Full frame sensor with low noise in medium-high ISO, too.
SBIG ST8-XME
My current CCD: a sensor made for astrophotography. Monochromatic sensor without anti-blooming. Excellent for photometry but also for Deep-Sky shots despite being a sensor with some years under his belt
Lenses
Tamron 24-70 f/2.8
The handyman
Zeiss 50 f/1.4
Manual focus and fixed focal length. It has some problems working at f/1.4 but from f/2.8 onwards has no comparison with my other lenses
Tamron 70-200 f/2.8
A big upgrade for medium-long focal length. A marvelous optics!
Nikkor 70-300 f/4.5-5.6
My first telephoto lens and my first upgrade of the photographic sector
Most of my instrumentation is second (or more) hand. Buying in the world of used photography and astronomy was certainly one of the best choices I made.
